Army Rangers The Elite Of The Elite

Army Rangers: The Elite of the Elite

Becoming a Ranger: A Rare Honor

The United States Army Rangers are the premier infantry force, known for their exceptional training and combat capabilities. Becoming a Ranger is an honor reserved for a select few, and the training is notoriously grueling. Soldiers who earn the Ranger tab are among the most respected and skilled in the military.

The Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (RASP)

The path to becoming a Ranger begins with the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (RASP). RASP is a 61-day course that tests soldiers' physical, mental, and emotional limits. Only about 40% of soldiers who attempt RASP succeed, and those who do are awarded the Ranger tab.

Ranger Units

Rangers are assigned to several different units within the Army, including the 75th Ranger Regiment and the Ranger School. The 75th Ranger Regiment is a highly specialized unit that conducts missions around the world, including counterterrorism, hostage rescue, and direct action raids. The Ranger School is responsible for training new Rangers and assessing the skills of experienced Rangers.

Ranger Legacy

The Army Rangers have a long and distinguished history dating back to the Revolutionary War. Rangers have played a critical role in every major conflict the United States has fought in, and they continue to be a vital part of the Army today.
